SONORO SECRETO

GEMA FB MARTÍN

MISTERIOSO OBJETO
OCTOBER 2022
Venezuelan artist collective nodoCCS (Diana Rangel & María Bilbao Herrera) works across sound, image, performance and participatory practices, exploring circular approaches to history, memory and collective experience.

During their ACME residency, *Cada impulso que estalla* explored the memory of the Spanish Civil War through a site-specific sound practice in Paredes de Buitrago, a former battlefield of the Frente del Agua.

Field recordings and vocal actions developed in the territory were brought back to ACME, where recycled timber and plywood from previous productions were transformed into acoustic devices and interactive listening objects. The resulting installation connected sound, body and collective memory through practices of listening, poetry and ancestral Warao traditions.

Materials: field recordings, voice, sound, image, recycled timber and plywood, projection, water.
